November/December 2005 Improve on Mother Nature? No ... she's "Queen of the Hill" when it comes to decorating the outdoors. But when we bring nature inside, it's only human nature that we want to make it easier ... faster ... better ... to fit the needs of our busy lives. That's why our artificial or "permanent" trees makes sense if you're trying to streamline the time you spend decorating for the holidays. At Johnson's, most of our trees come from two established companies-- Barcana and Santa's Own. Both of these firms have a long history of excellence with warranties of 10 to 25 years on the trees and 2 to 3 years on the lights. Lights? That's right. Almost all artificial trees these days are prelit so you don't even have to put on the lights! The Artificial Advantage - Did we mention that these trees are prelit? No more hours of frustration messing with lights on the tree. - Artificial Christmas trees have improved so much over the years that they are hard to distinguish from real trees. Today's trees really look like firs, pines, spruce, even cedars. - These trees are easy to put up. With hinged branches you just fold them out like an upside-down umbrella and fit the sections together. Each section is lit individually so you just plug the two sections together and work your way up the tree. - Taking the tree down is a breeze, too. Simply unplug the sections and then fold them back up for storage. - There are trees ranging from 9 inches to 9 feet., so whatever use you have in mind ... from a focal point in a great room; to a table top decoration; to a background for that special piece; or an outdoor container ... we have a tree to fill your needs. We even have brightly colored tinsel trees! - You might miss the fresh scent, but you certainly won't miss the allergic reaction family members may have to a real tree. - And you won't miss the needles in the carpet ... or the prickly task of undecorating a dry tree. Come and take a stroll through our "forest" of artificial trees and choose the perfect tree to carry on your Christmas traditions.
