We have just over 70 customers signed up for the applications and let me tell you it's been a chore, but one that has been fun to do. In late April, we started the first round of lawn applications with ferti-lome All Seasons Crabgrass Preventer Plus Lawn Food. It took us about two and a half weeks to get the pattern down, as well as ward off the weather. After the first round of applications, we spent about a week making sure we had everyone accounted for and mapping out an efficient route on our giant city map. During the second week of May, with the cooperation of the weather (minus one day), we completed all 70+ 2nd-Step applications. Half of our customers received ferti-lome Weed-Out Plus Lawn Food containing Trimec that attacks broadleaf weeds. The other half needed ferti-lome South-West Green Maker. Green Maker is a lawn food that contains mostly nitrogen and iron and true to its name, it definitely "greens" up your yard. In early June, we'll start the next round of applications with Natural Guard Soil Activator, an organic compound that conditions the soil to make it more "livable" for the lawn. From there, the last two steps of the program are two hits of Winterizer in the fall to maximize growth during the cool fall season and to help your grass through its dormant period giving you the greenest yard on the block next spring. Again, we appreciate your business. Keep watering your lawn and we will see you when it's time for the next application. If you haven't signed up for our Full-Service Lawn Care Program but you are interested in knowing more, call one of our stores for details.
