Our Lawn Care Programs are the Do-It-Yourself (and save money!) alternative to paying a lawn care company to maintain your lawn. We've created this program specifically for lawns in the Wichita, Kansas area, drawing from our 90+ years of growing experience and extensive research by Kansas State University. Our custom Lawn Care Programs contain all of the fertilizer, weed control and more that your lawn needs for an entire year.

Bermuda grass is a fast-growing, drought-tolerant 'warm season' grass that spreads via runners above and below the soil.
Lawn Care Program FAQ
Most of our customers have tall fescue grass, so they need a Cool Season Lawn Care Program. Cool Season programs are built for tall/turf fescue, Kentucky bluegrass, and ryegrass.
Some of our customers have Bermuda grass, so they need a Warm Season Lawn Care Program. Warm Season programs are built for zoysia, Bermuda, and buffalo grass.
Most residential lawns in the Wichita area are 5,000 square feet and need one 5K Lawn Care Program.
To determine the square footage of your yard, you can use online tools like Google Earth or the property information at SedgwickCounty.org.
You can also measure for yourself. If your yard is a square or rectangle, measure the length and width in feet, then multiply (length x width = square footage). If your lawn is not a square or rectangle, break the lawn into different sections to measure, then add measurements together to get the area's total square footage. If you don't have a measuring tape, you can estimate by counting your steps. The average human foot is 1 foot long.
Remember, if you have garden beds or other structures that take up space in your lawn, calculate their size the same way and subtract them from the total.
