A note about Iron ChileHead...

It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to the Iron ChileHead.

Ten years ago, when Jeremy and Kristen put their heads together about how to re-imagine Johnson’s Chilefest they never would have imagined the event they planned would bring together thousands of people every summer.

Over the past decade, we have become friends with numerous local and regional breweries, Wichita’s best food trucks and thousands of beer, food truck and Hatch Green Chile lovers from around the country. In fact, a few years back we were asked to host a wedding of two people who met at the Iron ChileHead! We can’t express our gratitude to everyone who came together every summer to put on this incredible event - from our amazing staff, the hundreds of volunteers who have helped set up, tear down and have kept the event running smoothly.

To the beer and food judges, the incredible Bolzen Beer Band and all of the breweries and food trucks - we couldn’t have done it without any of you! While this is the end of the road for the Iron ChileHead, we are excited for the next chapter of Hatch Green Chile at Johnson’s.
