Arbor Day Sale
Tree Sale April 22-27, 2025.
In stores only.
It's a good time to plant a tree! Did you know that planting trees helped bring an end to the Dust Bowl era? The Great Plains Shelterbelt program, initiated by the US Government in the 1930s, saw the planting of over 220 million trees to create windbreaks and prevent further soil loss.
Trees hold rainwater, and their roots improve soil structure, which reduces rainwater runoff and helps the soil absorb moisture. The shade that trees provide helps cool the soil and limit evaporation. In a process called transpiration, trees actually release moisture into the atmosphere. Trees and the ecosystem they provide encourage soil fertility as well. So let's plant! Click here for more water conservation tips.
