Johnson's recommends using ferti-lome Start-N-Grow Premium Plant Food when you're planting trees, shrubs, vines, and perennials. Simply add Start-N-Grow into the planting hole to maintain your landscape plants throughout the season. This slow-release fertilizer can also be used as a maintenance fertilizer by applying to established plants every 3-4 months during the growing season. Can be used on indoor plants, too! Where should it be used? For use on all indoor and outdoor plants, including bedding plants, ornamentals, roses, trees, shrubs and lawns.
What is the coverage area? For container plants, as little as 1/4 tsp. is needed. For flower beds, row crops, and other plantings, as little as 1/2 oz. per 10 sq. ft is needed. 
What is the active ingredient? Nitrogen, phosphate, soluble potash, boron, copper, iron, manganese, zinc. 
What is the fertilizer content? 19-6-12 (19 nitrogen - 6 phosphorus - 12 potassium).
