When should it be used? When disease is present. 
Where should it be used? For use on fruits, vegetables, shrubs, trees, and ornamentals. Not for use around ponds. 
What insects are controlled? Controls anthracnose, leaf blights, downy mildew, powdery mildew, leaf curl, scab, black spot, fusarium leaf spot, and many more diseases listed on the label. 
What is the coverage area? Garden vegetables: up to 8 tsp. per application. Fruit and nut trees: up to 10 tsp. per application. Ornamental garden plants: up to 8 tsp. per application. Conifer trees: up to 14 tsp. per application. 
How is it applied? Mix with water in a sprayer per label instructions.  
What is the active ingredient? Chlorothalonil (tetrachloroisophthalonitrile).
