Every August, we bring in fresh Hatch, New Mexico Green Chile, and then fire-roast them to perfection over an open flame right here at Johnson's Garden Centers. Use your Chile Peppers right away, or freeze them to enjoy later.

Chiles are available in bushels (approx. 20 lbs.) and half-bushels (approx. 10 lbs.) Smaller "starter size" packages and freeze-dried peppers are available in store only.

Because we roast fresh green chile, our supply will vary throughout the season. Order early - especially if you like the hotter peppers!

IMPORTANT: This is a PRE-ORDER item.  You will be notified by email or phone call when your Chile Peppers are ready for pickup. Store pickup only at your specified Johnson's location. For your convenience, your Chile Peppers will be held and ready for roasting at pickup time.  We should start fulfilling orders by the second week of August.

Hatch Green Chile Peppers are amazing in all kinds of food and drinks. Try them in eggs, chili, rellenos, margaritas, burgers, queso, brownies, cornbread, beans, cheesy corn dip, salsa verde... We could go on and on! Get them while they last!
